how do you pick your colours?

i always have a luminosity overlay layer on top of all my colours + mix bright/pastel colours with muted colours to really make those bright ones pop. i pick my colour palettes intuitively depending on what i’m drawing, but i usually always go for the same mix of pink/teal/purple :)
